A Forerunner Story:

The 12-week online experience really boosted my faith, and it allowed me to dive deeper into what God wants for me and His children in general. My love for God has just been set on fire over these last few weeks, and my number one goal is to just have a zeal from here on out so that I can tell more people about the Gospel. I want to do whatever God asks of me with no hesitations. I want to have a love and passion so large that it is undeniable.

Through this experience, it has been spoken over me that God wants to use me as a vault—someone who will tell this new generation who God is. This confirms some other things that have been spoken over me in the last few years. I believe God has called me to begin preaching to young adults. In fact, I have a friend from church who actually, had a vision of me preaching to young women. Regardless of what it will all end up looking like, I know that God wants me todo something for Him in ministry to young adults or even kids, because it has been repeatedly confirmed through several mighty women and men of God.

Going into the Forerunner course, I just wanted one main thing: to figure out where God wants me. I wanted to start walking in my calling, even if it was in baby steps. Now I know for certain. God has put a burning passion in my heart and spirit for younger people. I just want to love them as Christ does, and I want them to know that they were created on purpose, for a purpose.

One Bible story that I have really held onto is the story of Esther, because she was made for “such a time as this.” Her story really gives me so much peace and comfort because it reminds me that God loves me so much that He chose me, right here even right now. He gave me the privilege and opportunity to take this course to edify me and to help me build a firm foundation through and with Him.

I have really learned so much from this course that I did not even expect to. Each week, I would pray for edification, and week by week God saw me, heard me, and answered me. He is still answering me. I have been able to go deeper in my prayer time as well. As I pray and have conversation with God, it doesn’t feel like another thing on my checklist, but I feel like I have been able to enter the throne room this semester. I have also grown to love better. I want to keep a steady and firm foundation, not only so that I might steward my own calling, but also I want to steward my children well. I want to show them that God will always, always, always be there for each of them, and I want them to witness that truth for themselves and in the way my husband and I raise them. I so badly want todo my very best to help them experience the abundant life that Jesus died to give us.

I look forward to what is to come after this course is over. In addition to my new level of zeal and passion, I have learned so much about myself through the spiritual gifts test we took. I pray that I will continue to grow in knowledge and compassionate, and I want to see more miracles take place! I see them daily already.

The Forerunner Experience was laid on my heart years ago, and while it took me awhile to get around to it, I know now that beforehand I would not have been ready and I would not have taken in as much as I have now. In this season, I have really been able to start applying what I am learning, and my prayer is that I will be able to just continue growing in every way God wants me to. This course has inspired me to take other courses as well. In fact, I am now enrolling in Messenger College, and through my continued education, perhaps I will even have an opportunity to teach something like this one day. God has truly shown me so much through these last few weeks, and I just want more and more of Him. I want to be a “ even if, no matter what” Christian.

I pray blessings over the coaches who are mentoring each student and favor on the others who are leading the charge for the Forerunner Experience. This has truly been a life changing experience for me.
